CROSS TRAVEL DRIVE:
The use of a motor driven trolley with the hoist greatly increases the speed and efficiency of load handling. Steel frame side plates extend beyond wheels for end stop contact. Wheels are with contoured tread for use on standard tapered or wide flange flat beams. Traverse gear reducer is conservatively-rated rugged drive reducer with output pinion meshing with machine cut wheel gears.
LONG TRAVEL DRIVE :
It comprises of an arrangement of solid shafts and floating shafts coupled by universal couplings and supported on pedestals blocks. The arrangement is driven by a crane duty foot mounted motor transmitting torque to heavy duty shaft mounted gear box, which transmits torque to output pinion, this pinion meshes with machine cut wheel gears. Rail sweeps are provided on end carriages and crab frame ends to clear of any object left on or learning against the rail ahead of the crane wheels. Rubbers Buffers are also provided an end-carriages & crab.
A Special Soft Start Unit is coupled to the LT Drive to ensure a smooth, cushioned & jerk free start.
HOIST MOTOR :
Specifically designed for high starting torque hoisting service, half-hour rated with permanently lubricated bearings suitable for frequent reversals as well as braking.
HOIST BRAKE :
The Hoist Brake is fitted with an electromagnetic brake designed and built to arrest and hold safely the full load capacity of the hoist. The brake provides a fail to safety feature and failure of current immediately applies the brake.
BOTTOM BLOCK :
Full rotating lower hook is high strength forged steel. Thrust bearings make swiveling easy even under load.
Spur & Helical Gears cut from alloy steel and duly heat treated as required are used in totally enclosed casing to provide grease lubrication. Newer designs are lighter weight because of improved material strength & manufacturing techniques.
ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS :
All electrical controls are centralized within one enclosure with removable cover to access for easy servicing. Control circuit provides reduced voltage at the Push Button station, with 110 volts being standard. Under the new control system, operation is often much more gentle on components, lowering shock loads and heat buildup.
LIMIT SWITCH :
Positive action limit switch will prevent over travel beyond set limits in either direction. (Optional if desired for CT and LT).
PUSH BUTTON STATION :
Weather proof as standard, giving sure grip, one handed control. Station has built-in steel strain relief, permits pulling of unloaded hoist along track.
